A complete Google Pixel 9a specs and pricing leak suggests it could render the Pixel 9 redundant

It is possible that the Pixel 9 was become redundant after a detailed seep in the Pixel 9a’s specs and charges.

The Google Pixel 9 is a great cellphone, but as the most recent Pixel 9a seep suggests that a mid-range alternate will be available in mid-march and come with Pixel 9-rivaling specs and significantly lower prices, it could become a much less captivating option in March.

This all comes from Android Headlines, which claims that the Google Pixel 9a does include a 6.3-inch 120hz showcase. That is an improvement over the 6 1 -inch, 60hz Google Pixel 8a, and a fit for the Pixel 9.

The website states that it will come with 8gb of Ram instead of 12gb, along with a Tensor G4 chip and a choice of 128gb or 256gb of storeroom, just like the Pixel 9.

It’s also said to had a 5, 000mah battery, which means it would have both the Pixel 8a and the Pixel 9 beat for ability. With 18w wired and 7.5w cordless charging, it may not be as hard as the Pixel 9.

The Pixel 9a’s cameras officially have a 48mp key and a 13mp ultra-wide camcorder, along with a 13mp front-facing camera, in addition to the Pixel 9’s. On the regular Pixel 9 you get a 50mp primary, a 48mp ultra-wide, and a 10.5mp front-facing cameras.

Suddenly, the webpage says the Google Pixel 9a does become substantially larger than its predecessor at 154.7 by 73.3 x 8.9mm. That’s predictable given the turned larger display, but despite that it could be moderately lighter, at 186g somewhat than 188g. It would also be larger and lighter than the Pixel 9 as a result.

So if this pans out then the Pixel 9a could meet the Pixel 9’s camera, soc, and storeroom, and actually have it beat for cell capacity, but with less Memory, slower charging, and perhaps worse cameras.

Overall, the Google Pixel 9 is still likely to be the superior phone, but a price tag of$ 499 is expected, based on this leak, for the Pixel 9a. That’s the same cost as the Pixel 8a, and if that holds true in various provinces then you’ll be looking at a starting cost of £499 / Au$ 849 in the uk and Australia.

For comparison, the Pixel 9 starts at$ 799 / £799 / Au$ 1, 349, so it’s$ 300 / £300 / Au$ 500 more, and if this leak is right then we’d be surprised if the Pixel 9’s specs were$ 300 / £300 / Au$ 500 better. However, it’s possible that the price of the normal Pixel 9 does possess decreased significantly by March, which would make it the more appealing of the two.

Either method though, it seems like one of these phones will be the more clearly advantageous purchase, leaving the other to fight.
